Long Tube TRI-Y Header
We build our headers with 14 gage (.083 wall) mild
steel tubing and 3/8" thick CNC laser cut header flanges for
superior strength and longevity. All of our Mandrel bending, fitting, welding and
surfacing are done in-house. The header primary tubes are completely
welded on both sides of the flange for added strength, gas sealing
and appearance.
We locate the oxygen sensor bung
in the collector for an accurate reading.
Other companies have compromised and located the sensor bung in one
of the four primary tubes. This is inaccurate and could lead to
problems with air/fuel mixtures as the computer is forced to rely on
feed back from just one cylinder.
Our headers are ceramic coated inside and out with
CHROMEX ceramic by Performance Coatings, Inc.
